If you like solitude and peace this cabin is perfect for you. First you will drive back a long lane through the woods. You will end up in this amazing spot where the Hocking Hills are all around you. There are large cliffs. You'll see out cropping's of huge stones. You will here a nearby small waterfall and you can hike to a large fall that you can walk under. There are tall trees all around you and no site of civilization anywhere. These 37 acres are perfect for any one loving nature as well as the adventurous hunter. You can sit on the porch, walk the hills. or warm near the campfire. If you love the outdoors this cabin will be a real joy for you.
Now the inside. Where do you begin in describing a cabin that has so many wonderful features. This cabin was built board by board with so much love and care. The details are for you to explore and appreciate. You begin with a kitchen that is small but very efficient, The copper sink counter, the porcelain stove, the antique cupboard, table and chairs add so much charm.
The living area has a stone fireplace and beautiful wood plank floors. The exterior doors are authentic to the period. There is a Queen Sleeper Sofa, Flat Screen TV with Satellite. Off to the side is a large writing table that can be used for puzzles, games, or eating. The bathroom has a slate countertop with a marble sink. The brass fixtures add a very rustic charm. The old tin bathtub with shower is definitely worth seeing. You can soak in the deep tub or shower, your choosing. If you are really carefree and adventurous you will try the outside shower along side the log cabin.
Half the fun of sleeping in the loft is using the very sturdy ladder that you must climb. The antique bed holds a full size mattress. Just the size to cuddle up close.
The saying "seeing is believing" fits this cabin very well. It does not have a hot tub or TV channels to watch. But what it does have is the old fashion simple life without today's stresses. This is a cabin for rest and relaxation This is the cabin that can help you to become yourself again.
